Warsaw is a city of neighbourhoods. From the busy streets of Śródmieście to the old tenement houses of Praga, the cafés of Stary Mokotów and the riverside atmosphere of Powiśle, every part of the city has its own character.
If you are visiting Warsaw and looking for freshly baked croissants, sourdough bread, pastries, sandwiches and good coffee, you will probably find an Aromat bakery closer than you think.
Aromat is a Warsaw artisan bakery inspired by the traditions of French baking. We bake fresh every day and have six bakeries across some of the most interesting neighbourhoods of the Polish capital.
Here is where to find us — and a little about the Warsaw neighbourhood you'll discover along the way.

Śródmieście Południowe: Warsaw at its most lively
Aromat Hoża — Hoża 42
Aromat Koszykowa — Koszykowa 53
If you are staying in central Warsaw, there is a good chance that one of these will be your nearest Aromat.
Śródmieście Południowe has become one of the liveliest parts of contemporary Warsaw. Its streets combine beautifully restored pre-war tenement houses with restaurants, wine bars, cafés, independent shops and some of the city's best-known hotels.
The neighbourhood around Hoża, Wilcza, Poznańska and Koszykowa is particularly good for exploring Warsaw on foot. It feels central without being dominated by tourist attractions: this is very much a part of Warsaw where locals eat, drink, work and meet.
Visitors staying at hotels such as Nobu Hotel Warsaw, or in one of the many boutique hotels and apartments around Poznańska, Wilcza, Hoża and Koszykowa, will find both Aromat locations within this part of the city.
Aromat Hoża is one of our most established bakeries and a great place to start the morning with coffee and something freshly baked.
Aromat Koszykowa sits a few streets away, in another particularly busy part of southern Śródmieście.
If your idea of discovering a city involves wandering through good neighbourhoods rather than simply ticking monuments off a list, this is one of the best parts of Warsaw in which to start your day.
Stary Mokotów: a more local side of Warsaw
Aromat Puławska — Puławska 24a
Head south from the centre and Warsaw changes character.
Stary Mokotów is one of the city's most desirable residential neighbourhoods, known for its tree-lined streets, pre-war architecture, parks and increasingly good collection of independent restaurants, cafés and small shops.
It is considerably less touristy than central Warsaw — which is precisely part of its appeal.
Our Puławska bakery is located close to Plac Unii Lubelskiej, at the northern entrance to Stary Mokotów. From here, you can wander deeper into the neighbourhood towards streets such as Różana and the green spaces around Morskie Oko.
If you're staying in Mokotów or simply want to see a part of Warsaw that feels distinctly local, Aromat Puławska makes a natural breakfast or coffee stop.

Stara Praga: Warsaw on the other side of the river
Aromat Jagiellońska — Jagiellońska 36
Cross the Vistula and you arrive in a very different Warsaw.
Stara Praga is one of the most distinctive historic neighbourhoods in the city. Unlike much of central Warsaw, parts of the district retained their original urban fabric, giving Praga a character that is difficult to find elsewhere in the capital.
Today, old tenement houses sit alongside galleries, new restaurants, cafés and creative spaces. It remains rougher around the edges than Śródmieście — and that's part of what makes it interesting.
Aromat Jagiellońska is located inside a restored historic tenement house dating back to the late nineteenth century, on one of the area's important old streets.
It is a good starting point for discovering Stara Praga and a side of Warsaw that many first-time visitors never see.

Sienna: central Warsaw, old and new
Sienna is perhaps the most convenient Aromat for travellers arriving in Warsaw by train.
Located in the very centre of the city, the bakery is within easy reach of Warszawa Centralna railway station and the area around the Palace of Culture and Science.
But there is another layer to this neighbourhood.
The streets west of the Palace of Culture overlap with an important part of the history of Warsaw's former Jewish district and the Warsaw Ghetto. Today, contemporary apartment buildings, offices and hotels stand alongside fragments and memorials connected with that history.
It is also one of Warsaw's biggest accommodation areas, with numerous hotels, serviced apartments and short-term rentals within the surrounding streets.
Whether you have just arrived in Warsaw, are staying nearby or are setting off to explore the city centre, Aromat Sienna is an easy place to stop for breakfast, coffee, a sandwich or pastries to take with you.

Powiśle: university life, architecture and the Vistula
Powiśle has undergone one of Warsaw's most remarkable transformations.
Once a largely industrial and working-class area below the Warsaw escarpment, today it is one of the city's most enjoyable neighbourhoods — a mixture of university life, contemporary architecture, restaurants, cafés, parks and the nearby Vistula river.
Aromat Browarna is particularly special because the bakery is integrated into the modern University of Warsaw complex around Browarna and Dobra streets, immediately beside the University Library area.
The famous rooftop gardens of the University Library are nearby, as are the Vistula Boulevards, the Copernicus Science Centre and the pedestrian route uphill towards Krakowskie Przedmieście and Warsaw's historic centre.
It's a neighbourhood worth spending time in rather than simply passing through.
Pick up a croissant and coffee at Aromat, walk towards the river, or explore the university district and the quieter streets of Powiśle.

Six bakeries, many different sides of Warsaw
One of the pleasures of Warsaw is that there isn't just one city centre.
Walk twenty minutes and the architecture, atmosphere and rhythm of the streets can change completely.
That's also why our six bakeries feel different from one another. Hoża and Koszykowa belong to the energy of Śródmieście Południowe. Puławska feels unmistakably Mokotów. Jagiellońska introduces you to old Praga. Sienna sits in the constantly changing heart of central Warsaw. And Browarna is part of the younger, riverside atmosphere of Powiśle.
What they share is what we bake every morning.
Fresh croissants, sourdough bread, baguettes, sweet and savoury pastries, sandwiches and coffee — made in Warsaw every day.
Whether Warsaw is home for you or you're only here for a weekend, come and have breakfast with us.
